Do I have laryngitis?

Yesterday I woke up with a decent cough, assuming it was my allergies. However, when I picked up my guitar and started to sing, I realized nothing was coming out right. It was becoming harder to speak as the day went on, too. My throat hurt terribly from that morning on, but its calmed down quite a bit today.
Talking is still trouble, and singing is out of the question. I’m still coughing, too. There are some points in the day where I can speak without too much trouble, then others where I’m barely audible. Either way, I can’t talk loud at all. I’ve got a good supply of cough-drops, and I’m taking over-the-counter allergy medicine. Does this sound like laryngitis? Any tips for a quick recovery? I’ve got a bunch of graduation parties to go to. :]
