I know people usually do for high school graduation, but is this actually common place for college graduation? Is it common to include a photo (professional, of course) ?
Most people I know didn’t do that.
I find girls do it more often.
I sent out announcements for both my BA and MA. With my MA I included pics in my cap and gown. Most of my classmates did also. It is an accomplishment – announce it and celebrate it!
it’s fairly common
some do it to let people know what they have accomplished.
others do it hoping for gifts.
if you have a lot of extended family members or friends, why not.
photo would be nice for ppl your close too
professional isn’t necessary, just something from the big day is good
yes. i did and i got back letters from relative with cash if they couldnt make it to it. lol. i would do it. free money.
People usually do graduation accouncements but not all the time. Try doing it.
Some people do. Many don’t. Generally you send out announcements if you are looking for gifts. Anyone who denies that, isn’t telling the truth.
You can send a picture if you want, but unless it’s a close relative or friend, people usually don’t keep them.
There isn’t a rule saying you have to send an announcement for any graduation, high school or college. We actually got an announcement from a friend that her son had graduated from nursery school. It just gets to be too much. It’s not a huge deal to graduate high school anymore. You almost HAVE to in order to get any kind of job.
Do what makes you comfortable.
No, it isn’t what most people do for high school graduation. Nor is it for college graduation. People who are close enough to be interested already know. Sending out invitations to anyone else is just a ploy for getting gifts.
It is, however, okay to have a grad celebration party – invite your friends, and throw a BBQ or whatever you wish.
Some do…especially those who want graduation gift$ to help pay off their college debts. ;o b
