How should my parents’ names be printed on my graduation announcements?

I am receiving my undergraduate degree this December, and am trying to figure out how my announcements should be worded.

My parents are divorced, and technically it’s my mother, father, and stepmother that are announcing my graduation. They all have the same last name, though so I don’t want it to say “John, Jane, and Jill Smith are proud to announce the graduation of Jamie….” because then it sounds like all three are married.

My dad and I were thinking to just write “The parents of…” or “We are proud…” on the announcements. What is the proper way for my all three of my parents’ names to be printed on the announcements?

“Jill Smith and John & Jane Smith are . . .”

Note the use of “and” and “&”. The spelled-out “and” helps separate the couple, whose union/connection is further clarified by the “&” sign.

    I like “The parents of”

The other way, I suppose would be “Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Jessica Smith are pleased …”

They aren’t like wedding announcements. They don’t usually say youre parents’ names. When you order them, you can see the different ways they come printed, and you usually just choose one. The company does all the rest.
