I need some ideas for a high school graduation gift(s), for a boy. Can you help me with some ideas?

My son is graduating in 2007 from High School and I’d like to give him something really memorable as a gift. Any ideas? Thanks.

    $100 savings bond

A big donation to his college fund?

Get him a silver money clip from Tiffany’s with an inscription on the back like “I love you son” or “always in my heart” or “you’re my everything” and sign Mom or Dad (or both, I can’t tell if you’re a woman or a man).
It’s something he’ll have with him all the time and it only costs around , if not less than, $100. A life long gift and a VERY memorable one. If you want to spend more, then just clip some bills into the money clip and gift wrap together!
    It’s an heirloom gift.

Is he continuing on to college? If so, get things he will need to start a successful year. Even though this may seem like a lame gift now, he’ll probably thank you later when he’s hurting for money after spending it all on beer/bars/etc. from a freshman year.

Don’t know your finances but if you can swing it get him a rail pass for the summer, or even a greyhound bus pass and maybe some spending money for the trip. Let him take a month or two of the summer exploring America (assuming you live here).
