What are some high school graduation party decoration ideas for an artist?

My graduation party is coming up soon, and I am graduating high school with plans on going into an art/illustration major. What would be some unique decoration ideas? Most importantly, what would be some good centerpiece ideas?

NOTE: The party is going to be outdoors. So no confetti/papers that will fly away.

    Is there a theme?

Like timetravel or time machine. Where or what I will look like in 10 years. Maybe post pics of their past years like Kindergarden thru senior year.

    er, your the artist.
shouldnt you be creative enough to think of something original.
how can an idea be unique if its not yours.

Have a theme like big city and have like cardboard sky scrapers as center pieces then have that theme show in the invites and in the thankyous

Get and easel, one or two canvases and paint markers and have your guests write and doodle messages to you… like when married couples have their photo matted and their guests write notes around the matting. That would be a great keepsake and it’s creative.

Get a big artist’s paint palette (old fashioned wooden one) and serve fruits and cheeses on it with two big brushes = centerpiece. I’d also make a big cake that looks like a palette. Have artist themed plates. Flowers for Georgia O’Keefe, spin art for Jasper Jones, and water lilies could be for Monet. You could play Pictionary and Cranium ( the one where you use the clay). Have your friends bring something that represents each artist and the teams have to guess which artist it is. Face painting is fun too.

Perhaps you can make the party all about artists and their artwork, perhaps like the left bank of the Seine in Paris where canvasses are displayed outdoors. For part of the party the artist can in attendance with their artwork.
The artists may just come as themselves or you may ask them to wear the clothing they wear when they work. The decorations can then be the artwork plus of course decorated party balloons, streamers and a banner announcing the party. You can have lots of buffet style food with perhaps an outdoor catering firm providing hot food and coffee.
The games can be based on artwork with fastest drawings, and caricatures. Being outdoors you might opt for some outdoor games such as relay races, water carrying type games and obstacle courses.
If you are able to, have great party music and dancing. A good playlist or DJ can make a party go well.
The centerpeice should be your best artwork!

    Good luck and congratulations.
